'Kim's Convenience' Star Paul Sun-Hyung Lee Makes Appearance on 'The Mandalorian'

Lee is arguably best known for his role as Appa on Kim's Convenience — while also having appeared in dozens of roles over the years, including parts ion Degrassi: The Next Generation and commuter drama Train 48. But today, he can add another acclaimed series to his CV, as he is now credited with the role of Captain Carson Teva on the Disney+ Star Wars spinoff.
Those who follow Lee closely were stoked to see their favourite actor appear alongside Baby Yoda in the wee hours of Friday morning — not only for the odd crossover magic, but also because Lee is actually a massive Star Wars fan.
Prior to his involvement in the series, Lee has been known to post his custom Star Wars costume builds on his social media accounts. The actor has accumulated a healthy collection of realistic builds over the years, a hobby that he said, "kinda helped with casting."
Now that the cat is out of the bag, Lee is fielding tons of questions about his involvement on Twitter. Though to keep some of the mystery alive, when one fan asked if he would explain how he got the part, the actor responded, "All in good time." For now, he's also keeping everyone guessing as to whether he'll make another appearance in the series.

He's exactly how you would expect him to be. Awesome. A real nerd's nerd. The was so down to earth and without any pretensions. Same with Filoni. In another world we'd all be geeking out over stuff in someone's basement. https://t.co/UPysx6KJvL
