An unlikely yet perfect crossover
Andrew Lloyd Webber Praises My Chemical Romance's 'Iconic' Opening Note in 'Welcome to the Black Parade'
Newly minted TikTok star and famed composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has taken to the video-sharing platform to compare the "iconic" opening note of My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade" to that of his Phantom of the Opera.

"It's one thing to create an iconic set of chords, it's another to make one note iconic," the composer wrote in a tweet.

"Musical theatre fans everywhere — what do you think of when you hear this?" he says in the clip as he plays his own theatre tunes.

"And for everybody else, what do you think of when you hear this?" he continues, striking the "iconic" G note.

The unexpected crossover has musical theatre fans and emo kids alike calling for a gothic Black Parade musical adaption. It might seem like a stretch, but with all the wild things that have taken place this year, who's to say what is and isn't within the realm of possibility?
