Ahead of a live date alongside Billy Ray Cyrus in Ontario later this month, Lil Nas X has announced that he won't be making the trip to Windsor after all.

The viral MC was set to perform alongside his "Old Town Road" collaborator on October 17 at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor, but he will no longer appear "due to unforeseen circumstances."

"Lil Nas X is unfortunately unable to perform at Windsor due to unforeseen circumstances," an official statement from the rapper's camp reads. "He is taking a much needed break after seven months and promises to make it up."

While Cyrus will still perform at the casino, full refunds are available upon request for ticketholders who are no longer able to attend the show.

If purchased at the Caesars Windsor Box Office, refunds will be issued with proof of purchase and/or tickets at the box office, which is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m., and midnight on show nights.

If purchased online or by phone through Ticketmaster, ticketholders can visit Ticketmaster.ca or call 1-855-985-HELP (4357).

"It's been a wild last 7 months and im ready to take a little time off," he wrote on Twitter. "i love u guys and will make it up to you some way."

Despite his imminent time off, Lil Nas X hasn't ruled out collaborating with Fiona Apple. Recently, "Old Town Road" was covered by Anderson .Paak.
