Published Jul 31, 2019It's been nine years since Nick Cave and his rock band Grinderman released an album, but that may soon change. The songwriter has just now strongly implied that the group will reunite for another album.
This nugget of info came from Cave's latest post on The Red Hand Files. When answering a question about his favourite guitarist, Cave gave a lengthy answer about King Crimson's Robert Fripp, who collaborated with Grinderman on their song "Heathen Child."
That song appeared on their 2010 album Grinderman 2, and Cave wrote that the LP is "part of a yet to be completed trilogy, you might be happy to know."
That's all the info we currently have — there's no projected release date or details about the current's reunion plans — but it's reassuring to know that something is being planned. Grinderman previously announced their split back in 2011 and briefly reunited for Coachella back in 2013.
