Published Feb 14, 2013Vancouver psych-garage crew Dead Ghosts' hearts have apparently been through the ringer of late, as they've announced their next LP is a break-up record, through and through. Titled Can't Get No, it arrives April 30 through Burger Records.
A press release notes that while the song cycle is primarily about "break-ups or bummers," the quartet assure in a statement that "the album is NOT a bummer." To prove their point, you can sample the jangly bounce of organ-assisted album track "Roky Said" over here.
Dead Ghosts opted not to head into a proper recording studio to track Can't Get No, which follows a self-titled LP from 2010. Instead, the act dipped into their band account and picked up an 8-track machine off of Craigslist, recording the set in a series bars, kitchens and basements around Vancouver.
While the band have yet to announce any North American dates behind Can't Get No, they'll be heading to Europe in a few days. You can eyeball their overseas schedule down below.
